Meet Kelly
Coaching Qualifications
Kelly has been formally coaching in the ag space since 2017. Initially working with farm families – primarily dads, next gens & siblings, which expanded to include cohort based coaching through the National Farm Leadership Program (NFLP). The success of the NFLP branched Kelly’s client base to include agribusiness managers of both private and multinational firms.
Kelly’s primary interest is in equipping and supporting people to adapt to their changing roles, responsibilities and relationships. Over time, their work becomes a catalyst for personal innovation that underpins their professional success.

Business Experience
Kelly started LeaderShift Inc. with his good friend Darrel Thiessen from an idea and a passion to make a difference in the lives of others in 2017. Kelly and a small team built the LeaderLab so clients and members can privately engage and learn from anywhere. Kelly is also President of Dobson Farms Ltd. a fourth generation farm in southwestern Manitoba where he has worked since 1995. Kelly served on the National Sunflower Association for 11 years and chaired the Special Crops Value Chain Roundtable for 3 years.
Publications
Kelly has written for Country Guide Magazine and has been interviewed widely in print media and podcasts. Audiences are appreciative of his presentations and workshops that provoke personal reflection and educate on the power of self innovation.
Background
A farmer from Fairfax, MB who graduated from Brandon University in 1992. Kelly enjoys Vancouver Island and will live there with his wife Joanne when they agree who will retire first, although Kelly has no plans on retiring from LeaderShift.
